The shared and static tarballs contain static data shared between applications and static data read directly by the Web server respectively and have no application content. All of the archives are intended for Unix-like systems. They use long filenames, Unix-style paths throughout and filename extensions to indicate filetype. Decompress on a Unix-like system with a command such as:
tar -xzvf filename.tar.gz
There is no Ruby port or Ruby On Rails support for RISC OS at the time of writing. You may be able to get the Perl or Python tools running, though, with some porting effort.
If you download tarballs, please consider donating to help support the ongoing shared source project. Thanks!
